When can I contact the school mediation?
I can not contact the school mediation immediately.
I first have to try to find a solution with the person
responsible for the school.
The person responsible is:
- in primary school: the teacher of the pupil or the principal of the school,
- in secondary school (lycée): the teacher of the pupil or the director of the lycée,
- in a competence centre: the main teacher of the pupil or the director.
A competence centre looks after pupils with special needs.
For example: pupils who can not see well, who have difficulty understanding,…
I still can not find a solution?
Then I can contact the school mediation.
How does school mediation work?
1.
I contact the school mediation.
The school mediation looks at my request.
And decides if they can help me.
If they can not help me, they explain why.
2.
If they can help me, they make an appointment (Rendez-vous) with me.
The appointment is in the school mediation office or via video call.
10, rue Bender
Luxembourg-Gare
3.
After the meeting, the school mediation talks to the school
with which I have a problem.
School mediation can ask the school for any document
it considers important.
4.
First, they try to find a solution together.
In other words, they try to get parents or pupils and the school
to find a solution.
School mediation does this so that the pupil is doing fine.
5.
School mediation can recommend what the school should do.
6.
The school does not do this?
The school mediation can then tell the minister.
