When can school mediation help?
School mediation can help in 3 situations:
1. Stop going to school
If you want to or have to stop going to school.
This means: You do not go to school anymore. But you do not have a degree.
School mediation helps to prevent to stop going to of school.
Has anyone already stopped going to school?
Then school mediation helps them to find their way back into school.
2. Inclusion
Inclusion at school means:
All pupils should go to the same class.
Pupils who need special help and pupils who don’t need it are in the same class.
Are there problems?
Then school mediation can help.
3. Integration
Integration at school means:
There are children who are new to Luxembourg.
They do not yet speak the languages of Luxembourg.
They need help:
- to find the right school,
- to learn languages,
- …
These children do not get any help?
Then school mediation can help.
Who can contact the school mediation?
- the parents of pupils,
- the pupils,
- people who work at school (teachers, educators, director…).
Only parents or pupils over 18 years can give school mediation the right to ask for information from the school.
Does school mediation help to improve the school?
Yes, school mediation can give the minister ideas on how to make the school better.
The minister can use the ideas when he makes laws for the schools.
